Taste Of Success In Grapes

By Darc Marc

The Law of Averages works to everyone’s advantage at one point or another. Depending upon your definition of success, as the law dictates, you’ll find it. However, it would be in your best interest to increase the odds to your benefit by being in places where opportunity often knocks, once, twice, or even three times.

Keeping that optimism at the forefront of your quest, allow me to invite you to a place where the doorbell may ring. A Wine-Tasting event at the Fashion Forty Lounge is a whisper away from Times Square. A collection of affluent, up-and-coming, well heeled, corporate, municipal, freelance, and entrepreneurs compromise a potpourri of male and female professionals. The Wine-Tasting is secondary only to the primary objective of networking and making new business and social contacts.

Another plus is the knowledge of the wines you’ve tasted over the course of the evening. As an instant wine connoisseur you can choose from either four red wines or four white wines. Rule of thumb: Red wines are for dark meat and White wines are for light meat. (A point of reference for when you’re at that next business dinner.)

My two personal favorites are the 2002 Chardonnay and the Cabernet Sauvignon. I highly recommend those choices for when you patronize the Fashion Forty lounge at your leisure.

The promoters of this monthly affair are Mary Ann Wideman (Fashion Forty) and Adrienne Brown (Event Planner) of 'Hidden Faces'. Actually, the name 'Hidden Faces' does them a disservice since the two are blatant displays of beauty and feminine pulchritude.

Originally, the Wine-Tasting was to be held every three months. But, after the overwhelming attendance of the first, every month was decided upon to be more suitable. Events for champagne and dessert tasting are in the works as well.

'Hidden Faces' are looking towards the future and venues for a steadily growing crowd of those seeking like-business-mined individuals. With that in mind I offer you a quote from Mary Ann Wideman: “The greatest risk will equal the greatest reward.” And on the heels of that wisdom, I offer you a bit of advice from Adrienne Brown: Stay focused, stay organized, and stay creative.

Now, with your extreme optimism, a quote, and advice, you’re well on your way to hearing the door knock. Listen for the door. I think I hear it. And besides, fruits are nutritious, so come and enjoy the Taste of Success in Grapes at the next Wine-Tasting.
